Issues with 8.1 Vortex with Allison Transmission
Has anyone had any problems with an 8.1 Vortex with an Allison Transmission in a one ton truck.

- Mine has 297000 +, normal wear and tear, but engine and transmission are purring along
- We bought one of the first 8.1 3500 dually and it was great for 58000 miles when we traded for our 05. If fact it was like new. I say like new but 58000 miles is not new. NBS switch did go out as most did.

- Yes. DW ran it out of gas once.
- You might want to be more specific. Engine trouble, transmission trouble or other trouble?
