Can appreciate tenfold the issues about noise etc and respecting others and general reasonable space, but one of the biggest concerns for us about considering going full time was the feeling of being lonely and isolated all the time. Almost every forum says how friendly and welcoming other RVers are, and messages of welcome to the family and RVers are such a friendly bunch willing to chat with you and so on and so forth.
Yet here I read about everyone concerned about people staying as far away from them as possible, staking out their own areas and to boot on "public" lands.
Maybe I'm missing something here, but it doesn't portray the "friendly, helpful" bunch we've been led to believe until now.
How hard is it to say Hi and casually educate folks nicely about general etiquette if they are so lacking in common-sense without making it sound as though RVers are becoming the most unfriendliest grumpy folks around.
I'm curious, what is the "acceptable" distance on "public" lands from the next RVer radius wise of someone that's noise cognizant of others around them?
