It's not just noise. The gal in my picture was running her generator past 11pm, and there was little to no wind. I really don't like going to bed surrounded by exhaust fumes.

On EDIT: I'm as helpful as the next guy, when it's needed. Anyway, I don't know what a person's sense of privacy and space has to do with how helpful he is.
