Your preaching to the choir here.
Your new to the trailering world and are asking the same questions that were asked many years ago. We know the usual questions and canned answers like your asking.
Bottom line is your not going to change a thing or will you find any new answers that the forum hasn't seen/heard several times before.
There are so many parrots repeating the ST tires are special marketing hype that even so called experts are now parrots! No one on high seems to want to be the truth bird! To find the truth we would have to info on what trailer manufacturers are actually pay for these tires and wheels by the train car load. Given their low retail cost, one can only imagine that a ST235/80R16E cost them around 50 or 60 bucks at the volume they buy at.

Again, look at the general "ROT" (rule of thumb) that you can buy most any RV at a 30-35% discount, and you'll have your answer on the true "value" of these things. You can bet that the dealer's still making a healthy profit, even then. I've already decided that I'll likely have to order one. The chances of finding =exactly= the FW I want on a dealer lot, are just too slim. Also, many manufacturers seem to have a non-published options list; you just have to ask what can, or can't, be done on a factory order. What the manufacturer can't, or won't, do, the dealer often times can/will.
