- joebedfordNomad IIYeah, the brackets break and will be more prone to do so the longer they are. My friend had a Jayco and they issued retrofit instructions for people with spring hanger problems. I used it on my Victory Lane.
Weld 2" square tubing from the spring hanger on one side to the one on the other side - all three mounts (assuming a dual axle). My suspension breaks stopped as soon as I did this. - diazr2ExplorerI reversed the axles on mine. It’s pretty easy and they make kits for it. .
- jaycocamprsExplorerI ran both a 2000 Eagle and a 2007 JayFlight in the lowest holes without any frame problems.
- Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIWhat 'adjustments' are you planning?
Do your spring brackets have holes for moving spring eyes thereby changing ride height?
My 5vr is like that (3 holes) and the brackets are 'three-sided' (front ones have plate welded on forward edges of shackles--------rear ones have plate welded on rearward edges of shackles.) Makes them sorta boxed. Plus they are plated up sides and frame
I have seen mods where a 2" square tube was run side to side from shackles and welded in place to stop twisting
