AS noted, you not only have to cool the air in the box, but the walls, furniture, floors and ceilings. DO you have one or two A/C units?
After the unit has run on high for about 10 minutes, get an air out let reading as close to the unit outlet as possible, Next get an ait inlet temperature at the inlet grill. DO NOT use an infrared (laser) temp gun as it senses the the temperature of the plastic or metal grill. Use a thermometer.
The outlet air should be 18 to 20 degF lower than the inlet if the unit is working correctly.
Make sure the evaporator coil and filters are clean first.
If the unit has a "chill grill", open it and work on cooling the mainarea first.
In the summer, it can take several hours to make much head way against a hot trailer.
