when we turn on our AC it takes about four to five hours for it to cool down. Once it cools its cold. Is this normal for it to take so long or do I need to have the AC repaired. Memphis, TN

The AC thermometer is avail at any parts store.
Looks like a miniature meat thermometer.
You put it in the AC outlet vent/s.
About $5 or less.
Check to see if it's putting out cold (how cold?) air.
