Jayco Fifth Wheel

when we turn on our AC it takes about four to five hours for it to cool down. Once it cools its cold. Is this normal for it to take so long or do I need to have the AC repaired. Memphis, TN

  • Install covers over your roof vents and keep them open while you're driving, this will help exhaust the heat. Once at the camp sight leave the vents open for a hour or so to help let the warm air at the ceiling escape while the A/C cools off the trailer.
  • After a long drive on a very hot day ours (35' Montana) can take that long. But normally much quicker.

    Well first if a problem it's not a Jayco problem.

    More info needed;

    Where are you?

    Is this a new problem?

    What are the outside temps before you turn on the A/C?

    Could be a simple answer or it could be an A/C problem.
