Jayco Quality

Now that the kids are older, we are considering getting rid of the toyhauler and getting a more residential type 5er. We looked at some Jayco Northpoint fifth wheels and liked the floorplans. Any opinions on the Jayco quality?

I will say this, our X20E is our 3rd Jayco that we bought new. Overall solid build, initial fit and finish is decent but they do suffer from some quality control issues. Little things like doors that need latch adjustments, loose moldings, loose screws on some components, etc. From what I've read this seems to be across all product lines.

We had our last Jayco for 10 years and no real problems with it.
  • My Voltage uses the Schwintek slide system and it has had it's share of problems includes a major rebuild. It is such a bad system that Voltage no longer uses it. Jayco uses Schwintek slides in all of the RV's it makes.

A Jayco Eagle HT is on my short-list for my next FW. That 2 year warranty does say something, IMO. Only a handful of mfrs still do this...
