They are equally litigious outside the US. Why the 1/2 Tons have a lower capacity? Simple you upgrade to a 3/4 ton that makes the manufacturer
much more profit.That is why towing with a car is not going to be endorsed by ANY OEM in the US, although the Europeans do it 95% of the time, the rest by European Vans or Cab Chassis vehicles.
