Jeep in the Back
Anybody tow a Jeep behind their 5th wheel - 4 down? Just curious how well it does. I've seen a couple of horror stories where one rolled, but since then I've seen a few on the road.

I did triple with a 20' I/0 boat ~4,000 lbs with a shorter fifth wheel. It towed nice, but ultimately it was pretty hard on the truck.
1971 with a V6??? Jeeps have had the 4.1 inline 6 since the 1950's, the Merc V6 was not used until about 2006! My 2009 that I used to tow weighed in at around 3,800 LBS! Typically standard bumbers on 5th wheels would not stand up to 3800 LBS. Please check actual weight and your manufacturers spec's for the bumber!

CJ Jeeps have had the Buick Dauntless V6 or the overhead valve 4 cylinder in them when Kaiser had them from sometime in the 60s to 1971. AMC bought Jeep in 1970 and in 1972 they extended the fenders and frame to fit their own inline 6 or optional 304 V8. Buick/GM bought back the V6 from AMC to re-use in their own cars in 1972.
