Has anyone put a jet ski or personal watercraft in the garage? I did some measuring and it will fit also wondering if a small 12 volt winch would work good to load it and unload it. I might have to make the hitch of the trailer swing out of the way but that looks simple any input is welcome. thanks
I haul my Yamaha FX HO and trailer (approx. 1100 lbs.) all around the country in my Work & Play. I have a Loadrite trailer which has the trailer tongue bolted on. Remove one bolt, loosen two others, and it comes off in a jiffy. That drops my overall length from 16 to 11 ft. After I remove the tongue, I bolt on a small, pneumatic swivel tire assembly I fabricated in place of the tonque. I use a Harbor Freight 3000 lb. Badlands winch, mounted in the front to pull it into the toy hauler. It pulls my ski up the ramp with no issues at all. Heck, sometimes it goes up too fast :) I'd suggest making sure your toy hauler is level or slightly front high before winching. Once the ski & trailer get off the ramp and inside your garage it'll start rolling forward pretty quickly if the nose is down. Reverse on that ski won't work when it's out of the water--lol!! Good luck!
