Were your horizontal stringers stamped "Not for horizontal use" like mine are? On the positive side of things, you are motivating me to tear into the front corner floor and wall bottom on mine where the access hatch leaked and got them. Did you rule out using PT wood since it's a living space?
I'm considering marine ply for the floor replacement (it's about 2'x3' in the under bed storage and about 6ft of wall).
