Do you think acetone would work? My wife's jeep use to get stains on the silver painted bumper from the oils in the spare tire. I tried compound on it and it didn't work so I brought it by the dealership and they cleaned it with acetone and it wiped right off. As far as my stained camper, the only thing that was ever done on the roof was the dealership added extra sealant at the cap because they said it looked like the factory skimped on the caulking.
