Kitchen Faucet

I have 2009 Big country and when you turn the water on in the kitchen it leaks around where the handle fits down on the faucet. Can some give me the solution to fix the problem, or what is the name of the faucet
  • The kitchen faucet that came with our unit was a real POS too. Kept coming loose and leaking. We ended up replacing within 6 mos of ownership (about 1 1/2 yrs ago)with another faucet purchased from PPL. So far, so good.
  • A company named "Dura Faucets, Inc" actually makes most of the RV faucets (Sorry you will gave to Google them, I don't have the web address handy) and sells direct. Otherwise, Lowes.

Ours started leaking last year and I did as others have said. We went to Home Depot and bought a nice pull out faucet/sprayer. It is just a great little mod if you wash any dishes in camper. Wife loves having a sprayer in the trailer. Good luck, John

Ours is not leaking, but DW would like to have a sprayer, in a tall faucet. She also wants the bath faucet replace with a nicer fixture. We have found several at HD and Lowes that will fill the ticket.

  • Some faucets can be tightened up to stop leaks. Some are tricky to get the outside decorative cover off to get to the actual workings of the faucet. If tightening doesn't work there's probably an O-Ring that has gone bad and needs to be replced.

Like "downtheroad" we have replaced all of our faucets with nice Moen units.
  • RV faucets are notoriously cheap low quality units.
Best fix is to go to Home Depot - Lowes and pick out a regular stick and brick unit. Just check the fit by taking some measurements or the old faucet with you.

Many of us have swapped out both the kitchen and bath faucets with better quality units.
