You asked also about a padlock, I use one of those cable padlocks. Similar to a bike lock only heavier. Picked it up at a farm supply store. Make sure it is made out of aircraft cable. I use a decent padlock. Just make sure you either have extra keys or write that combination code down. I put the combo code in my truck manual, next to my keypad code for the truck door. I also have written both down via magic marker in an inconspicuous place where the weather cannot wear it off out side of any locked doors but yet not seen and must know where it is to see it. Used it more than once already!
