I did see the grease zerks there. While I am afraid that the damage is already done, I will shoot some grease into them as future maintenance. However, that brings me back to the access issue. I can't even see the bottom grease zerk on the right side, and absolutely cannot reach either of them. I darn sure don't want to have to pull the entire generator and enclosure just to grease them every year.
Cutting the side panel out is easily doable, but I don't want to weaken any structure. I don't want to cut out the bottom, as that would expose that entire compartment to road spray. Best choice would be to cut out the panel separating that right leg from the propane compartment. That concerns me, since that dividing plate MIGHT be what is stopping that whole area from flexing and cracking.
Bottom line, I'm still stuck about how to get to that side. Cut the panel out or remove the genset every time?????
