I did see the grease zerks there. While I am afraid that the damage is already done, I will shoot some grease into them as future maintenance. However, that brings me back to the access issue. I can't even see the bottom grease zerk on the right side, and absolutely cannot reach either of them. I darn sure don't want to have to pull the entire generator and enclosure just to grease them every year.
I can't help you with the repair project itself, but as for greasing the fittings later on, once you get to them, take one of the zerk fittings out if you don't know the tread size. Then take it to a hydraulics shop and they can build you a high pressure line that will screw into the leg where you pulled the zerk out of and in the other end of the line, they'll put the zerk fitting. You'll have to figure out where you want to run the grease line to for access - how long it will be. They use the same setup for the track tensioners on our Nodwells because the cylinders are down between the frame rails.
