Can't leave it on the truck, it sticks out into the road too far to leave hooked up for very long. I had thought about wooden blocks, but other than railroad ties, don't know what to get. I'm not near the camper right now, but I bet I have 18-24" of clearance up front where the gear are. I want whatever its on to be wide enough to be very stable in high wind. This is west texas, and 40 mph winds aren't uncommon. Building that stable a base with chunks of 1 1/2" thick lumber would take A LOT of wood! Too narrow, and I run the risk of a good wind "rolling" the supports out from under it and dropping the trailer.
And yes, the wheels will be very well chocked!!!
