In addition, I needed to get this repair done quickly, but I am a fairly decent electrician and I believe I can set up a relay so that my remote will still activate 2 power legs, if I ever go that route. The feed wire from the remote control box could activate a high-amp relay, which could then feed power to both motors at once without burning anything up. The switches would still give independent control for leveling, but the remote could control both legs at once.
