Landing Gear Pin Replacements

Good afternoon everyone!
I would like to replace the landing gear pins on my fiver with the spring loaded type.
Seems there are several brands to choose from.
Anyone have a preference?

Many thanks in advance,

Bill
  • Don't get the kind with the plastic collars. Get all steel that you bolt together. As good as they look the plastic collars open up and your pins can fall off while traveling.
  • YES all metal
AND make sure you get the correct size......measure the holes in leg

Well over two years towing, with mine I like the no rust of the plastic collars. the secret is to be SURE they securely snap into place.

  • Also if you buy at a store take them out of the box and make sure the pin is square to the bracket. If it's crooked it won't come out the other side. My trailer had one like that (crooked) and I bought a replacement set and the new ones had one welded crooked. I took it back and got another set that I checked before leaving the store.
