leak on slide out

So on our 2004 Wilderness lite fifth wheel I had it parked here at home, it is sitting on an angle with the slide a little higher than the opposite side, seals look alright to me, but then I am no expert, anyway, it poured rain for quite a while after our long dry spell and I go in and find the carpet wet on the front corner of the floor, so wondering if maybe if I get it properly level it maybe all right, or does it mean the seals are not doing their job?
  • Good point, when we were just away camping when level the slide did seem to sit down a bit, and when we had rain the only water that came in appeared to be when the wife took the slide in without waiting for me to dry it off, we had no water intrusion while away camping, but then we were quite level, and now that I think about it, I think I am also nose high, as I raised it to take off truck on the 30th of July, and never lowered it after, so will have to check things out.
    Thanks for the input.
  • I believe slides slope downward to the side too. So if it isn't level that way, it could run in. And no the seals are not air (or water) tight.
  • It's getting past the seal someplace. It could be that just raising or lowering the nose could help but then the other side might leak.

Check floor to see if it's soft. I had to replace the floor in my bedroom slide.
