Because crank/crack heads steal propane cylinders to use for heat source and batteries for acid in making meth
Plus there are radios, TVs, and STUFF that they can sell to buy more meth with
RVs sitting out alone are prime targets for low lifes. Easier to tell IF anybody is around and easy to break into.
