Reason some get a bit touchy is today about those that didn't come home.

YES its nice and appreciated when Veterans are thanked.

But Memorial is about those that DIED in service to their country.

Too many forget the real meaning. Tack on ALL the commercialism......and that can be a bit of a rub.

Let's remember those that gave the ultimate sacrifice and be respectful to that memory.

    Thank you.

I'm getting sick of the holiday police today. Thanks for posting, yes today we remember those who didn't come back. I will also thank those who did even if the perpetually anal do not approve.

    X2!
We have mourned all of the 4,500+ service men and women lost in the Iraq war.

I'm I lived the Vietnam era when we lost more than 65,000 men and women and those lucky enough to return we spat at and lablied baby killers.

I am glad we have matured and while realizing war and conflict is an ugly thing, but respect those That fight for our freedom, both fallen and alive.

This is a day of remembering the fallen, but I will still thank a vet or active service member for their service to the country!

    God Bless America!

While right you are so is Bbaker2001, it is a day of remembrance to those that gave the ultimate sacrifice, but it never is wrong to thank a veteran or active service member for their service, as they never know when they will make that sacrifice!!!
