Bearing Buddys are spring loaded and keep constant pressure on the seals to prevent water from coming into bearings. Most and I repeat MOST boats do not have brakes so if grease does get pushed thru the seal, all you have is a greasey tire and mess. Not good when you have brakes. E Z lube works well but you have to be careful. Spin the tire as you apply grease. Reach in with your pinky and remove some of the old grease so you don't keep adding grease until the seals blow (you have to knock off the cap around the zerk to do this). AND sooner or later, take the hub off and inspect brakes and all the hardware that goes with it. And then put on some new seals. Not that much money. Cheaper than brake shoes.
