Leveling Side to Side

We use a combination of a tiered set of 2x8 wood block with 45* angle cuts for the side that neeeds raised (4 boards for a total of 6" leveling), holes if allowed and the can be easily dug, and the 4 point electronic jack system with auto level. We found that if we auto-level before getting the rig mostly level, some or all of the tires are off the ground and the unit is unsteady - probably not good for the jacks or the trailer frame where the jacks are mounted :E

Interesting- I had seen others do this, I just wasn't sure how it worked. Thanks!

A couple of boards as most people use. If that doesn't do it, I'm told to find a better spot.

One catch is I usually leave the driver side a hair on the high side. That way when the slide out is extended, it takes it almost dead level.

THANKS for all the replies....we've had our 5er out about 8 times. Haven't really had a problem leveling yet. Mostly been in good spots, but will eventually come across some place where the side to side will be necessary. Will be getting some lumber shortly!!!!

I check for plumb on side of the trailer,between the axels.I have found that if that point is plumb.checked with a 2' level,then the trailer is level side to side.
DW moves the TV,I do the checking and blocking as needed.

I use my i-Pad for levelling. There's a great free app clinometer. Park TT, lay i-Pad on the floor in the middle of the TT,if needed move TT forward add lego block/wood to left or right wheels ,and back up TT again.

I find leveling is a non issue for me but if health is the problem I understand the problem .

First define for yourself what level is. Some use the refrig while others use counters, floors, pan of water on the stove top, door swing...

ALWAYS level from side to side first.

Put a bubble level on your trailer/5th wheel pin box where it is visible from the drivers seat. Leveling side to side is usually easy as the work is done by the Tow Vehicle and placing board(s) under the low side wheel(s). Pretty simple.

Leveling from front to rear is done with the electric landing gear. We had a bubble level right above the electric controls for the landing gear.

The legs drop equally but you can move the pin in the legs to compensate for terrain variations.
