Carriage was one of the original builders to make "4 season" fulltime type rigs. At one time in the 90's they were the top shelf along with a company that built Tetons.
Very good company over time but some bad upper management money decisions led to the bank cutting the line of credit and them shutting down in 2011. Might be more to the story but that is how I recall. Others may be able to add detail.
I looked them over closely in 2000 and 2005 and took plant tours.
