The choices of 5th wheels light enough for a half-ton truck are not a lot. I know that your Ford can tow a lot more than my 2007 half-ton Chevy but still be cautious. You have to start with the weight of the trailer and add the contents, liquids, propane, etc plus all the contents of the truck and hitch when loaded and see what total you get. I tow a 25 ft. 5th wheel with no slides and a dry wt of 5,300 lbs and the Chevy does fine but I really wouldn't want to add a couple of ft. to the trailer and a large slide.
