Light 5th Wheel

Hi guys, we are considering a 5th wheel (getting near retirement). We are buying a F150 ecoboost for this purpose, I looked at diesels, too expensive and not real "in town" friendly. Sooo.. the ecoboost is the truck of choice. What would be some good choices for a 8-9000, pound 5th wheel? We would be camping the in cool temperatures sometimes too, so that has to be a consideration. Any advice? Thanks!
  • Oh my gosh. I love the popcorn and soda. Where did you find that? Sorry to the original poster. Didn't mean to hijack your query.
  • We have had great luck with our Rockwood 8280WS towing with a 2012 EcoBoost non-hd. Getting anywhere from 12-14 mpg towing. The only mod to the truck has been adding Roadmaster active suspension to the rear, which has improved the non-towing ride.
