Are you talking about the wings?

I am talking about the mounting plates that hang down out the trailer overhang. The pin box in my case has 4 bolts on each side that secure the pin box to the trailer. The rear of this plates hung down about 3.5 inches below the back end of the pin box, and would run into and damage the bed rails in a tight jack knife backing situation.

Trailer just happens to be in the front yard right now, so you get an up close up picture. I have the pieces in the trailer that I cut off, but this should help. I put lines into the picture where the plate use to be hanging down.

Angle iron is part of my pin box bike rack.
