And that would be why the fine people at Lippert...er...I mean...why I directed my design team...to leave the extra steel on the pinbox and the mount brackets. I felt it would be easier to "lop" the material off, than add material on, if the pinbox needed to be lower to raise the trailer higher up off the bed rails.
And oh...almost forgot...you people that decide to add a bed cover? If you buy one that has inside bed rail frame. Our pin box will tear that up too. Watch it.
I can still lower it some, just not as far as before! Hitch can also be raised in the truck on its adjustments. So I do not worry about it!
