Lippert Under Chassis Storage

It does not look like much extra storage for high cost. IMHO

Haven't used but if you are needing to resort to extra outside storage compartments you are carrying too much stuff :B

We FT and carry everything we own....yet I can open any compartment and see everything in it and access it all without major unpacking.

Course I do have a low profile box in rear of truck bed behind hitch for tools, jacks etc.

Are you talking about these LCI UnderBelly Storage boxes? If so, I've had them on my last two campers. We really like them. They have redesigned the top since I bought my last ones, so it would keep more water out. They are not waterproof at all. We usually carry our 50 amp power cord, firewood, slinky stuff, and small wooden chocks in them. They work well for me, but others haven't found much use for them. They have a 100 pound weight limit per side. But again. yes, we like ours.

I agree. Add to that if you ever need to drop your underbelly cover, this adds a little more work to the job.

I have a set on ours. I use them for blocks ect stuff that getting wet will not effect and I don,t use often.Also they are not lockable without some work.

nremtp143, Thank you for the reply and the picture. This is a much better picture of the size, in comparison to the the compartment door, than was on Lippert web site. Like the other post mentioned, it seems to be a little pricy as per square foot of storage, but if it is the only option out there !!! I guess I could look for a bigger 5er, that would really be pricy.
I too am looking for storage for water hoses! electric cords and possibly the patio mats.
It appears that yours is mounted in front of the axles. With the spare tire option on the storage unit, I hopefully can mount it where the spare is now, behind axles.

we have this installed on our camper and love it. we keep the sewage stuff on one side and extra sewage stuff and outside mats on the other side.

That is the handiest item Lippert has come up with, keeps all the dirty sewer connections out of the rig. We use the street side for all sewer hookup items and curbside for support items for the toys, grease gun, oil, rags etc. We first experienced this add-on with our '09 Cyclone, when we traded for the Voltage in '12 it was not available so I ordered direct from Lippert and mounted behind the rear axel now we've traded again and i'm trying a place to put it on a Class A DP!

Depending on what you're trying to move - a simple vinyl fence post, some tops and handles can be handy for storing all sorts of stuff (sewer hose, fishing rods, collapsible ladders for a whole lot less (about $30-$35 a pop).

This was my solution to the lack of storage space we had- $180 lockable waterproof tool box from Tractor Supply and a $40 bracket from tractor supply. Inside I bought 4 $6 Husky plastic tool boxes from HD that are the exact depth and the 4 of them are the exact width of the box. Inside one houses our sewer fittings, another power adapters, another fresh water fittings, and the other some tools.
