Every RV I have had that had a common drain header I have installed (cut/glued) another valve in that common drain header.
It serves a couple of purposes:
Last line of defense should any if the other valves fail to seal
AND
Allows me to equalize waste tanks for better water management
Allows me to back flush into black tank with grey tank before dumping
Twist on style can work IF you can leave it on all the time w/o if hanging out too far, too low or adding too much bouncing weight to drain header.
