I have the twin Hondas too and would not consider running them in the basement. I store them there but take them out to run them.
New fifth wheels that are fitted out with generators have airtight compartments often in the front of the basement with a hatch directly behind the hitch pin. These compartments are vented to the outside. If you can rig something like that, fine. :)
