Start by reaching out to companies like Heavy Haulers or Nationwide United Auto Transport, they’re experienced with large trailers and can handle the logistics, from permits to transport.
It’s also a good idea to get a few quotes so you can compare prices and services. Be ready to provide details like the weight, dimensions, and condition of your 5th wheel.
Also, book early—April isn’t too far away, and getting on their schedule now will save you from last-minute headaches. One thing I found super helpful was using an online tool to compare long-distance moving quotes: https://threemovers.com/long-distance-moving-quotes-online/. It made narrowing down options much easier and gave us a better idea of what to expect in terms of costs.

When I helped a friend with something similar, we found that researching specialized RV transport companies was key.

I need someone to move my 5th wheel from Florida to Michigan this April. How do I get in touch with these companies or people?
Uship is a bid site. Post the details of what you need to move, length and weight, where from and to, and people will send you per mile bids. FWIW, when I did this a couple years ago for a 32' 10.5k FW, bids ranged from $2.25 down to $1.90 per mile from the St. Louis area to the Phoenix area.
Lyle - I just used Synergy RV Transport back in June to have my fifth wheel moved from Indiana to PA... If you reach out now, they can arrange it as a back haul hopefully.
The were awesome, I dealt with a guy named Lance...
