We had a blow out similar to that a few years back and caused us $ 3,000.00 worth of damage to our unit. You might want to invest is a TPMS unit to possibly prevent something like that in the future. Yes I was lucky. This blowout of the RF Goodyear Marathon happened just east of Burlington, NC on I-85 N while traveling @ 60 MPH. We were on our way to pick up a new spare due to a blowout of the RR Marathon 2 days earlier. The damage was about $3K as well and Goodyear paid for the repair. Instead of a TPMS, I invested in 14 ply Sailun S637 tires. Being paranoid about a blowout takes the enjoyment out of the trip.
