- OakmanExplorerI think picking the Jayco over the Wildcat is the right move.
- Capt_DaveExplorerWe have a Cherokee TT made by Forest River now and have had no problems. I think we are going with the jayco, thanks.

Looks like the Jayco is the answer or it would be to me. Hope so for you.

Jim heading for Az in a few days to start the 2779th night we have slept in Our 2001 alpenlite. For the original post I guess it takes some time to really know how good your rv has been. When it is bad it shows up quickly. Just think how a high end MH owner feels because of the cost of a product with many problems and repairs.
Have a great winter everybody.
chevman - DKRITTERExplorerI will never own a Forest River product again. All they care about is getting them out the door.

chevman - yamerhammer1ExplorerI bought a 2002 wildcat 28 bunkhouse new. Had lots of problems with it. Water leaks, delamination, refrigerator, color fading. I bought a new 2014 Jayco premier 361reqs. No problems at all in 3 years of ownership. Couldn't be happier.

My 2016 Wildcat 295rsx came with a 2-year warranty. The form to request the 2nd year is available on line and requires a $125 registration. If your dealer is like mine, they just include it in the deal and the paperwork is completed at closing.
I've had the Wildcat 2 seasons now, 100 camping nights and 12,000 miles towed. It's been great for us and we have not had any quality issues. What swayed me was this unit came with 16" Maxxis tires. - laknoxNomad

We like the Jayco 317RLOK, but was worried about the length. We camp a lot in state parks and national parks and have been told over 35' could be an issue with sites.
From what I've read the past few years, the closer to 30' you are, the better off you are, if you're a frequent SP or NP camper. More modern CGs and "RV resorts" are a different critter altogether.

We have been looking at the Jayco Eagle 291RSTS and a Wildcat 29RLX. Looking for any input, pro or con with these models. Thanks
IMO, the Jayco is a much better unit than the Wildcat, just from what I've read here. I've been in many Jaycos and only 1 or 2 Wildcats, and there =is= a noticeable difference in construction. The Jayco will give you a 2 year warranty, and that does say something.
