Comfortable as a full time rig and 250/2500 compatible is going to nearly impossible. Add in one small enough and add a washer room is next to impossible to find. Your biggest drawback is your truck. Honestly you might be better off with a TT or a MH and tow a small car.
It's going to have to be a 5th wheel for me even if it means no washer. I'd like to start out using my truck to be sure this is something we both want to do. If it doesn't work out we'll simply use the setup and go away for 2-3 months at a time and I'm sure it will work fine for that.
Funny, we're going to go from S&B to full time and we figured if we "tried it out" with a cheap rig we'd most likely decide it wasn't for us. We're going the opposite route and truly giving it a go. Selling the house, buying a Class 8 HDT and the biggest nicest 5er we can afford. Every one has to try it their own way, but if I tried to put my DW in a Starcraft Pop-up Camper, we'd be back to the house in a week. (Not saying that's what you're trying to do - just an extreme example of why we're going the opposite route).
