Yes, in all the years I have been around the forum, dropped fivers and Reese hitches go together like a hand and glove.
But I believe operator error in not hitching correctly, along with NOT doing the should be mandatory pull test, lead to almost all of these incidents.
Nothing mechanically wrong with the Reese hitch in and of itself. So no need to group it with another product (Lippert here) which does seem to have flaws in it.
So how does a truck camper guy come to that conclusion?
