Toyhauler tongue weights are more because they have to put 100 gallon water tanks in front of the axle to offset the weight of the bikes behind the axle. If you try and save weight by running without water you're too light on the tongue.In any size a fully equipped toyhauler is too much for a half ton.IMHO
