Looking for bunkhouse

We currently own a 2011 Carriage Cameo. It has been a wonderful fifth wheel with no problems but our children are getting bigger so we need to switch to a bunkhouse. Mid-bunk preferably.
Can anyone recommend a brand that may be somewhat comparable to the original Cameo's without paying over $100,000? I know its a long shot but I wanted to see others opinions. I know Cameo is one of the best built fifth wheels, that's why we are hesitant about switching but it needs to happen.
Thanks!

Jana

  • My 2012 Sandpiper is a front bunk and we're extremely happy with it. We bought it used in '16 and took it on a 5,000 mile, 2 week trek to Grand Teton/Yellowstone last summer. It gave us plenty of living space, beds to sleep, and all kinds of storage. If I were going to buy new I'd buy this same 5th wheel.

  • Take a look at a Grand Design Solitude 377MBS. It's a terrific layout and has a lot of neat features.
  • We have an "11" crossroads cruiser 32bl, it has a second mid bedroom. We love it except because the room is about 30" wide and opens to 60"long beds, we had to make a removable bed extender for our 6' tall son. It is wonderful to have all his clothes and gear out of site, and if he doesn't come we don't even have to put the slide out. There are newer versions that have more space in the bunk room, but that will mean hauling a forty plus footer, ( mine comes in at 35')
