A20 ft bass boat/trailer/motor will be 24 to 25 ft long all hooked up plus 3000 + pounds.
To be legal will take a short 5er as per the website I checked 65 ft max inOk but doubt if any police will put a tape measure to it.
My concern is all that wieght behind a pickup.with a35 ft + 5er.
Here's a true story! Neighbor behind me, has an older Jayco FW, that is 32-35 ft long, with two slides, one being a bedroom slide. It has a walk-in closet across the front, with mirrored doors. He added a hitch to pull his heavy bass boat, with a 200 hp Merc outboard, plus 10 hp troller, all on a tandem axle trailer.
I'm not sure how long overall, but here is the kicker!!! He tows this setup with a 2012 F150 Max Tow eco-boost, with leather seats, fully loaded cab.
I did not see his payload sticker, but he said it tows it well. His big complaint was the gas mileage. Yep, that little twin turbo likely has it's tongue hanging out, for the 80 mile tow, each way to the lake.

Unless that 80 miles included a lot of steep grades, the motor was probably fine. The boat is drafting behind the 5er, so it probably didn't add much to the load. It has more power than the big diesels from 15yrs ago.
Good chance he was over GCVWR but you won't necessarily notice that till things go to poo.
