We are in the process of shopping for a 5th wheel. We plan to live in and travel with two dogs. We are interested in opinions on a strong, durable, used rig that is big enough for all of us but not too big for 1st timers! I love the esthetics of the new, light, bright interiors but Brian is convinced that newer means made more cheaply which could lead to more issues and money spent on repairs.
Open to all suggestions!
No one can really point you in a direction of a particular used RV because used is less about brand and more about condition and how it was maintained. Floor plan should be your priority. Find a floor plan you like and then shop used models with that floorplan . I would also recommend that when you find one you're interested in, get an inspection by a qualified RV inspector. Well worth the money.
I suppose I am wondering if rvers who have been on the road and in a 5th wheel over the years have had structural issues, good or bad, that might help steer us to a brand with lasting power. And yes, inspection!
