We pretty much used our toy hauler as a regular camper for the first couple years. Gave us the additional room for young kids and their toys.
They make the drop down beds with a sofa option that folds up like a futon to be a sofa during the day and a bed at night.
Some day you may want to carry a golf cart or something and the toy hauler door would then be useful.
