Looking for Toy Hauler Suggestions

Recently downsized from a Dodge Diesel and a 33' TH to A SUV , Nissan Pathfinder V8. Now I'm beginning to search for a TH to be towed by the Pathfinder. The tow capacity is 7000lbs, I have been leaning towards the Forest River Grey Wolf 22RR . I like the walk around with the corner shower , just wondering if it would be too much for the SUV? Any other suggestions would be helpful .I have one Harley that weights approx 650 lbs and two adults who pack light :)

Thanks in advance for your replies

The catalog UVW of the 22RR is 4871#. I have a similar sized unit that had a catalog weight of 4710#. It came with a weight sticker of 5025# as built. Loaded for camping with 500# of motorcycles (two dual sports), but NO WATER, it weighs 6740# with 780# tongue weight. Extrapolating that to the 22RR, it would weigh 7050# with your bike with a tongue weight of 820#. If the Pathfinder is OK for that tongue weight, you are good to go. What is the payload on the Pathfinder? I am towing a similar sized camper with a truck rated to tow 9800#.

The shower in my camper is the only shortcoming. It is tiny and has a curtain instead of a glass door. I am always rubbing against the curtain. The 22RR looks good.

According to Edmunds Spec page on the 5.6L V8 Pathfinder it has a 1480lb Payload, which I figure is pretty good for an SUV :)

What I like about the 22R is the walk around queen bed up front and the Jack and Jill bathroom and glass corner shower, I haven't seen any other TH's
under 5000lbs with the same floor plan
  • I have a KZ MXT20 that has the weights you want. I really like it, no issues really in three years. Carry three sportbikes and all that goes with them. Generator mounted on front.

It is now the MXT 200.

    KZ-MXT200 Plan

Forget the spec page. Look at the tire loading sticker on the driver's door of YOUR vehicle.

I looked at that one, but I couldn't fit two bikes in it without folding up the front bed or blocking access to the bathroom and kitchen. Can you get two bikes in yours with the front bed folded down and still get to the bathroom?
  • I wanted to happily report I purchased a never used 2014 Grey Wolf 19RR Toy Hauler 4180 lbs dry tongue 580 lbs, been out with it twice and the Pathfinder seems to tow it pretty well, just added a pair of Airlift air bags to impove the rear of the Pathfinder.

Sounds good, nice to get a followup!
