low point drains using antifreeze
I din not open then recap the low point drains prior to running antifreeze thru the system. Should I have or is it not necessary when using antifreeze?

You should be fine as long as you let the faucets run till you had a good "pink" flow. You could always open the low points now. I do. It will not hurt to have as little fluid as possible in those lines. Especially in MI. The more room you have in the lines for fluid to flow, the better you will be.
