Suburban.....light should come on initially when LP switch is turned ON for approx 15 seconds during the light off procedure. Light goes out when flame is proven. Otherwise light would stay on if flame fails to light/prove. System 'locks out' until reset (turn switch off wait 10 seconds back on)

Atwood......light should come on IF propane fails to light/prove OR IF ECO OPENS either on electric or propane. System 'locks out' until reset (same switch off/on)

As to brand/model......either Suburban or Atwood
Visually different Water Heaters.
Suburban uses anode rod and combustion chamber/exhaust stack one above other
Atwood doesn't use an anode rod and combustion chamber/exhaust diagonal

Cant post a pic but if I don't here anything on the FTI-DTL I will call tomorrow. raining like a cow on a flat rock...cant do outside but expect it to be a dometic.

What brand/model water heater?

LP Propane switch turns water heater propane firing ON/OFF
Electric switch turns water heater electric element ON/OFF

Either system can be turned on/off independently OR both at same time

Post a pic of switch panel?
