How many of us have had hitching issues using lube plates? The thickness of mine causes a problem. Curly

My previous Companion Had 1-1/8" thick jaws and it was not easy to see when the weight was off the hitch. I bought a 1/8" plate from Hensley, not cheap but worked well. New B&W 3600 has 1" thick jaws. I am using 1/8" on it since I have one but in reality the 1/4" may be fine??????
