lubing landing gears

would be nice if all would put fittings on them. my 5th must have built on Monday I have less than 50 trips and have had both original seize what happens the jack screws seize in jack nut. have taken them apart but have never been able to break them loose so that's why I want to find a way to grease them. if you have ever had one apart you would see that there is no way to lube other than taking apart that's 3 or 4 hour job hope everyone understands what im talking about. its a lot of time and money when one goes bad and you cant buy the jack screw and nut have to buy the assembly

I had one snap way back in the boondocks outside of Moab. Yea, they do break. Anything with gears needs lube eventually. UltraFab just started making them with Zerk fittings according to the latest RV Travel Newsletter.

13 yrs, 667 campsites, 2945 pin weight, never messed with them, they just work.

My legs have Zerks on them, they were squeaking at one time and after lubing them, quiet once again.

retract the landing gear, block the wheels.
Liberate the shnopenstool from the kstew bracket.

I read you can just take the top cover off and pour in some motor oil. It will run down and lube everything. Makes perfect sense to me...

Drill a hole in the housing; get metal fragments in the gears; and.......

The screw is so far in it would take a couple if tubesod grease to get any where. Taking the leg apart is simple to do.

it is a shame that they don't put grease fittings on the jacks. Sorry I don't know the answer to your question

no I just want to lube the screw trying to get trailer on truck but screw is making loud squeaking noise. had one to lock up and had to buy new assembly just hoping to avoid that again
