Yes, that DEF consumption is a hard-to-measure thing. Our last tow from BC the Alberta in April saw me use up a full 10 litre pail of DEF. More than I have ever used in similar distance trips. Can't figure it out just yet. Our truck is older than yours, not that it would matter that much - same engine. Anyway, our truck still runs flawlessly with 109,000kms on her. And yes, she is a towing beast! (truck, not bride)
